The Good Kids needed an animation expert to create an animated logo sting for Van 106, a grip & lighting rental company. The message was simple - Van 106 will be on location, on time, no matter what.

AN ANIMATED LOGO

Using The Hyperfocus Method, the project started with a storyboard. Together, TGKs and Hyperfocus collaborated on a storyboard that would become our plan of attack.

Right away, we knew the van needed to be more than a flat 2D image. To give it more depth, the van was designed with multiple angles - Leaning left, leaning right, and the doors at various states of being opened.

STARTING THE PROJECT

Using Adobe After Effects, the van was rigged to wiggle and shake as if it was driving down a bumpy road. Dust trails were added as secondary animation, to showcase the high speed this van was traveling for an important video shoot.

BEHIND THE SCENES

The Van 106 logo animation created by The Good Kids & Hyperfocus is a perfect example of how animation can elevate a brand image. With eye-catching, fast-paced storytelling, the animation screams reliability and punctuality.
